SOUTH BERWICK TOWN COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 5, 2008
Chairman Suzanne Roberge called the meeting to order at 3:00pm. Those present included Councilors Robert Gagne, Michelle Kareckas, Jean Demetracopoulos, and David Burke. Also present were the Town’s attorney Chris Vaniotis, Town Manager Jeffrey A. Grossman and Mr. Grossman’s attorney David Lourie.
NEW BUSINESS
1. On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mr. Gagne, it was unanimously voted to enter executive session at 3:01pm pursuant to 1MRSA §405.6E, for consultation with the Council’s attorney concerning the legal rights and duties of the Council with respect to the requirements of the Freedom of Access Act and the Town Charter.
The Chair reported the following to the Clerk:
On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mrs. Kareckas, it was unanimously voted to end the executive session at 3:50pm.
On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mr. Burke, it was unanimously voted to enter executive session at 3:51pm, pursuant to 1MRSA §405.6A for discussion and evaluation of the performance of the Town Manager.
On a motion by Mr. Gagne, seconded by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, it was unanimously voted to end the executive session at 5:36pm.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mr. Gagne, it was unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 5:37pm.
