Mt. A Steering Committee-  Via Greg's Email-
The primary discussion at the MT A meeting was around how to initiate the planning process and how to focus it. Paul Schumacher has offered to facilitate this process. We may ultimately have a couple of design charrettes. This will happen over the winter with the Steering Cmte and a few external stakeholders who have been promised involvement in planning for the summit. York will be trying to transition Robin to becoming a fully funded Town employee, continuing her current duties. This would provide the other partner's contributions for conservation work, as the state trail grants have almost dried up.

Planning Board- Tatnic Hills subdivision- The homes will be built near the road and the developer is proposing to designate the back portion of all the lots as conservation land and will be posting signs stating that.

Management Plans- Cari emailed Jean about where this stands, and Jean sent her the following:
Steve and I went out and walked the parcel as much as possible. He has done the forest management plan for the Spaulding's parcel next door, so he was somewhat familiar with that line. Our problem was in finding the other property lines for the parcel. It is the landowners' job to accurately identify the property boundaries for the forester. Our next step was to look closely at aerials and see if we could use newer forestry cut lines to identify some of our property corners. There was surveying done in the area to identify the proposed granite woods subdivision, which was subsequently bought out by TNC (2003?). I do not know if those surveys are still floating around the town planning office. Our parcel was not adjacent to the part which was bought out, but is surrounded on 2- 3/4 sides by lands retained by Andy Patterson and indicated on that survey. Between the survey information and the aerial review indicating approximate boundary areas, there should be enough information to go back to the parcel and locate possible corner markers. These should be GPS'd and a plot plan can be created over the topo map. After leaf fall is the best time to do that.
I would be happy to walk with someone out there and show about what we had found, if they would GPS it.
